Hi, I’m Julie!
I’m a communications expert and multimedia artist with experience reporting on science, health, and education. For the last three years, I managed the communication and outreach effort for a non-profit conservation organization.

About Me
I’m a writer, graphic designer, multimedia artist, journalist, and storyteller based in New York. I graduated summa cum laude from Stony Brook University in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and communication and a minor in digital arts.
During my time as a journalist and reporter, I covered medicine, esports, community events, science, and education. I worked directly with the School of Journalism and Communications at Stony Brook University to design and create content for ScenesFromAPandemic.com and StonyBrookTransformed.com, and to interview scientists and health experts on the university’s campus who were on the front lines of COVID-19 research.
After graduation, I worked as a freelance journalist and content designer. I briefly worked with AnsrSource, where I worked directly with a subject matter expert to create a five-part online course on business resilience and security.
From 2023 through 2025, I worked as the Outreach and Communications Manager and the Fellows Program Manager at the Safina Center, where I managed social media accounts and websites, wrote copy, edited and published blog posts, designed and produced print media with InDesign, created presentations and digital assets, and assisted in audio/visual production at three separate annual events at the Explorers Club in New York City.
